The Virtual Couch is a solo game development studio based in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Our first and current project is the FPS Wizard plugin for Unreal Engine 4. We’ve been working on FPS Wizard for over a year and we shipped version 1.0 in September of 2017. We’re now working on a new game called TurboArenaDeathball, a fast-paced FPS sports game that will utilize FPS Wizard.
About Christopher Simms, The Founder:
Hi there! My name is Chris, I’m a 20 year old indie game dev with big ambitions. I was raised here in the Bay Area and video games have been a huge part of my life since I was a wee toddler. The Halo series is probably my biggest influence; it was the defining game of my adolescence, and Bungie was the studio that made me want to make games. I’ve been working on this project full-time for about a year, and part-time for half a year before that. You can generally find me working out of various coworking events and spaces. My usual haunts include Noisebridge and Gamenest in SF, and The MADE and Oakstop in Oakland. I do host weekly coworking sessions at the MADE on Thursdays from 11:00 AM to roughly 7:00 PM if you want to drop by!
