The Virtual Couch is a solo game development studio based in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Our first and current project is the FPS Wizard plugin for Unreal Engine 4. We’ve been working on FPS Wizard for over a year and we shipped version 1.0 in September of 2017. In addition to keeping FPS Wizard updated, we worked on a game called TurboArenaDeathball for about a year in 2018 before putting it on haitus due to scope concerns. Currently, we develop assets in addition to working on a smaller-scope project called ONEMAG.
About Christopher Simms, The Founder:
Hi there! My name is Chris, I’m a 23 year old indie game dev with big ambitions. I was raised here in the Bay Area and video games have been a huge part of my life since I was a toddler. The Halo series is probably my biggest influence; it was the defining game of my adolescence, and Bungie was the studio that made me want to make games. I started developing FPS Wizard in college as hobby before transitioning to full-time development. I do host weekly coworking sessions at the MADE on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 8:30 PM, so feel free to drop by if you’re in the area!
